At The Veron Company, our primary focus is to provide services that keep trees healthy, but there are situations in which removal is the most appropriate option for the needs of the homeowner and/or the wellbeing of the landscape. Because tree removal is a critical part of arboriculture, The Veron Company has the equipment and the professionally trained experts to execute the task of eliminating dead, dying, or hazardous trees safely.
Tree Removal is the most dangerous part of arboriculture and our arborists are highly trained to remove trees growing in confined spaces near houses, utility lines and other sensitive areas using the highest industry standards. We pride ourselves on providing a thorough clean up of debris and striving to prevent any negative impact to surrounding vegetation.
Stumps are problematic and need to be addressed for a variety of reasons:
At The Veron Company we are able to help our customers deal with stumps using two different methods, grinding or complete removal. We have specialized equipment that can execute either task, but it is important to understand the different outcomes of grinding versus removal.
Stump Grinding:
Stump Removal:
Being proactive can prevent a catastrophe!
Most damage to a property during severe weather occurs when limbs or trees fall. High winds and saturates soil conditions typical of summer storms can compromise root systems and weaken branches. During winter, the weight of ice and snow accumulation can be equally damaging, resulting in failure of branches and entire trees. None of this is an easy experience for a homeowner. That is why pre-storm strategies are recommended to identify potentially hazardous conditions and to help reduce the risk of damage before harsh weather occurs.
Emergency Response Services:
Winter storms, Nor'easters, summer thunderstorms, heavy spring rains, tornadoes, and other weather events that occur in New England submit our trees to frequent battering, sometimes with deadly results. Branches snap off, trees split apart, roots detach from soggy soil, and trees can come crashing down on houses and cars. When damaged or downed trees require emergency removal or pruning, immediate action is necessary.
At The Veron Company, we are available to quickly respond to any emergency situation. For example, after the tornadoes that devastated the Cape in July of 2019, we mobilized our crews and equipment in order to help the affected communities, Public Works Departments, utility companies, insurance companies, and citizens in dire need. Downed trees are highly unstable and dangerous. Powerlines often create hazards and collaboration with utility companies is vital. We use specialized equipment and safety gear to take down these trees efficiently, properly and safely
Pruning done to professional industry standards will enhance the structure, safety, health, and appearance of your trees while also reducing the chance of storm damage.
After one of our experienced arborists evaluates the condition of your trees, they can determine the type of pruning service that will balance your design and lifestyle goals with optimizing plant health and safety.
Imperfections in a tree's physical architecture can result in structural weaknesses, which arborists call "tree defects." The most common of these defects can be ameliorated by one of The Veron Company's certified arborists.
We are experts in the use of structural braces to add supplemental support to tree defects. While this does not eliminate the possibility of tree failure, it reduces the potential and allows us to preserve trees that might otherwise break apart or have to be removed. We install both cable brace systems and rod braces to reinforce defects in both shade trees and ornamental trees.
The Veron Company provides consulting and preservation services, sound density testing, and cabling and bracing as needed to maintain trees that have been part of the New England Landscape for centuries.
The Artemas Ward Sycamore - The Veron Company is proud of the 20-year relationship it has maintained with the Artemas Ward Museum, owned and operated by Harvard University. Ward, the first Commander in Chief of the American Revolution before General George Washington, planted rows of Sycamore trees in honor of our great ally, the French Marquis de Lafayette, before he set forth on his journey down the Boston Post Road to meet and join forces with General Washington. The giant Sycamore tree that stands on this historic property today is a perfect representation of how our company utilizes both technical expertise and passion for taking care of our local landscapes in order to meet the highest industry standards.
Over the years, our arborists have cared for this beloved landmark in a variety of ways. Our team has devised a comprehensive plan, which includes cabling, bracing, iron support beams, preventative pruning, fertilization, and pest protection, in order to preserve the health and extend the life of a tree that is a symbol of the birth of our nation.
